Configuration & Audiophile Hardware
Manage bit-perfect ALSA kernel endpoints, DSD direct stream routing, DAC jitter buffers, and Synology NAS shares.
Bit-Perfect Audio Output Devices (ALSA / USB DACs)
Select your audio endpoint. External USB DACs and S/PDIF interfaces bypass the OS mixer and lock sample rates directly to the DAC master crystal.
Audiophile Audio Engine & Kernel Transport
Fine-tune low-level ALSA driver access, Direct DSD bitstream transmission, and buffer jitter characteristics.
Governs how the streaming engine talks to ALSA sound drivers on Synology DSM / Linux.
Direct 1-bit Delta-Sigma stream strategy for SACD ISOs, DSF, and DFF hi-res masters.
Lower values reduce system latency; higher values protect against USB bus underruns and buffer dropouts.
Bit-perfect mode disables digital pre-scaling completely to ensure unaltered sample delivery.
Configure default stream profile and whether playing tracks automatically hot-swap mid-song when a bit-perfect FLAC download completes on the NAS.
Live Bit-Perfect Hardware Audit Console
Real-time diagnostic probe verifying zero bit truncation, active ALSA hardware parameters, and master clock synchronization.
Tidal HiFi Master FLAC Engine
Stream 24-bit / 192kHz Master FLAC bit-perfect directly from Tidal's official CDN (sp-storage.tidal.com) using your personal subscriber Bearer Token.
Soulseek Lossless FLAC Engine (100% Free)
Connect to a Soulseek (slskd) daemon to discover and download authentic bit-perfect FLAC (16-bit / 24-bit, 25MB - 80MB) with no Tidal accounts and zero geo-blocking.
Mapped NAS Music Libraries
Map Synology NAS shared folders (e.g. /volume1/music). The engine scans ID3v2/FLAC metadata and uses Linux inotify to detect new master rips in real time.
Connect Mobile & Desktop Subsonic Audiophile Clients
Connect native high-fidelity apps like Symfonium (Android Bit-Perfect USB DAC driver), Feishin (Desktop WASAPI/ASIO), Ample / Tempo (iOS), or Substreamer:
Audiophile & Bit-Perfect DAC Setup Guide
KV-Tidal serves raw, bit-perfect lossless streams (FLAC up to 24-bit / 192 kHz & DSD) without transcoding. To guarantee bit-perfect delivery to your DAC without OS mixer resampling, follow these configurations:
Android Bit-Perfect (Bypass 48kHz Resampler)
Standard Android resamples all audio to 48 kHz. Use Symfonium with KV-Tidal's Subsonic server: go to Settings → Audio → Output → Enable Custom Equalizer & Direct USB DAC Mode to stream 24-bit/96kHz & 192kHz directly to your external USB DAC.
Desktop Bit-Perfect (WASAPI / ASIO / CoreAudio)
In Feishin or native Subsonic clients, configure the Audio Output device to WASAPI Exclusive (Windows) or CoreAudio Exclusive Mode (macOS). This forces your DAC hardware clock to switch sample rates dynamically with 0% software resampling.
Hi-Fi Network Streamers (WiiM / Eversolo / Lumin)
Point your network streamers directly to KV-Tidal via OpenSubsonic or UPnP AVTransport. The Rust streaming engine serves RFC 7233 byte-ranges with zero transcoding, providing instant gapless seeking and pre-buffering.
Web Browser Player (Direct Bypass Mode)
In the web player bar, click the Equalizer button and ensure Bit-Perfect Direct Passthrough is active. This completely unhooks all Biquad filters, outputting bit-transparent audio to your system sound driver.
Synology DSM 7 Permissions Notice
